Google allows up to 50,000 URLs per sitemap file with a maximum file size of 50MB (uncompressed). Our tool supports up to 50,000 URLs. If you have more pages, you should create a sitemap index file that references multiple sitemap files.

Upload the generated sitemap.xml file to your website root directory, then submit it via Google Search Console under Indexing > Sitemaps. You can also reference it in your robots.txt file with the line: Sitemap: https://yourdomain.com/sitemap.xml. Bing Webmaster Tools also accepts the same sitemap file.

Priority (0.0 to 1.0) indicates the relative importance of a URL compared to other pages on your site — it does NOT affect your search rankings. Changefreq tells search engines how often a page is likely to change (always, hourly, daily, weekly, monthly, yearly, never). These are hints to crawlers, not commands.

Only include pages you want search engines to index. Exclude login pages, admin panels, thank-you pages, duplicate content, and pages with noindex tags. Focus on your most valuable, unique content pages. Quality over quantity is the key to effective sitemaps.
